Holy Mackerel!

This has got to be the one day in my blog's existence that I wrote so much that it actually makes up for all the days, weeks, months that I am not writing.

Inevitably I will probably not write that much ever again, as I tend to write only when the "sweetness of aging" strikes - which, luckily, is not (yet) every day! But hey, just wait until I am 50 and I am sure we'll be in business at least every week. By 60 most likely two or three times a week and by 70 I probably only need to think up an entry and mentally send it to my blog, and that will most liklely be on a daily basis.

Come 80, if my life-support systems is still being paid for by the health-care system, it'll probably be twice a day. And if I live to see 90 I guess I'll be a lonely lady hooked on a machine that will record my whole unexiting day in my blog and when I am 100 (a gal's gotta have ambitious plans, right?) I wonder if anyone is still reading this blog. People will probably communicate via mentally powered interfaces (Welcome to the "Matrix")and blogs are something that people did way back when people still used to drive cars and nedd oil for fuel and heating. You know those times when people were so wasteful with their ressources that one could think they were available in endless supply ...

Times-a-changing . . .

You know you're old ...

... when you screw up your blog by trying to import a layout without knowing if it will work and instead of testing it you activate it and spend nearly two days fixing the problem, and it just won't go away.

Instead you also employ the whole blogosphere (there, mark the day, I said "blogoshere")to help you fix the problem. And when being told how this really nice person did it (go read his blog, you might learn something)you want to kick your own butt, but realize since you are over 40 and you are NOT a cat, you stand no chance of actually doing this because your bones would rather split and crack than bend backwards.

Ahhhh, the joys of growing old.

Aging is not for cowards ...

Pimples ? Are you serious?
Pimples at the age of 46? Nature, are you serious? You gotta be kidding me. You're mocking me. Is this what you call aging with grace?

Eurovision Songcontest

Luscious Lips
everytime I see ads in magazines or on tv with young models with these soft luscious lips I get so envious. I think it's a personal affront to everybody over 25. It always makes me sad and I think of the times, when I was young and my lips were soft...

It's all in the mascara, sweetheart
yeah, rrright! As we all (who have come of age) know, growing old has its nasty perks. One of them: grey / white hair. And since I really, really can't see anything graceful about grey hair when I am only in my mid-forties, of course I have it dyed (more like tinted)...

Moving up towards 50 ...
It still takes me a moment to catch breath when I say: Now that I am 44 ... Shocks! 44 .... can you imagine? Naw, probably not, unless you are also 44 or older. It shouldn't be so shocking, I mean it's not like I turned 44 yesterday. Then again, it's not...
